We have been working on this every week for months. We got DSNY to provide weekly clean ups. We have had NYPD there on site looking for abandoned bikes and if any exist have them tagged and removed. We have met with the mayors office to come up with short and long term solutions. We are insuring delivery workers know the law that they have a right to use a bathroom when they pick up food and an eating establishment. We have met with organizing groups who work with delivery drivers to education the delivery workers on the law. We have met with the app companies to seek inside space for storage for bikes to get them off the street and have had DOT install other bike locations to ease the pressure on this location. We are working on legislative fixes and are trying to have a September hearing on the topic.
